Craftsman of Kifuda, Nameplate and Signboard
"TAKESHIN"
"Kifuda" is a stamped name and family crest on a beautiful wood grain board, and it is used for nameplates, Senjafuda etc.
The roots of Kifuda are Keshifuda which the fireman of the Edo era put up, and therefore it was used as amulet which escape from tribulation and disaster.
Kifuda is handed down to the present age as an Omamorifuda(a wooden amulet) that makes Edo's sense of enthusiasm.
Kifuda of Takeshin is carefully polished and the letters written there are painted repeatedly with lacquer. All of that work is manual and hand-made.
At Takeshin, we will propose typefaces and designs according to customer's request, and we will produce it after obtaining consent. For those who would like original size, we will cut wood according to your request.
The warmth and the mind which are not in industrial products can be put.Because it requires delicate work and sufficient drying time, we spend 1.5 to 2 months from your order.
